Acrylic Painting for Beginners – a short course

Acrylics for Beginners Your first acrylic painting starts here. Over four Saturdays, you'll go from a blank canvas to a finished piece you're genuinely proud of — learning colour mixing, brushwork, blending, composition, and all the small techniques that make a painting feel intentional. No experience needed. Whether you've never picked up a brush or you paint every week, this course is designed to welcome everyone exactly where they are. What you'll learn: Day 1 — Foundations Colour theory, brush control, and your first piece on canvas. Day 2 — Techniques Wet-on-wet blending, glazing, sfumato, and texture work. Day 3 — Composition Choosing your subject and building your own piece layer by layer. Day 4 — Finishing Touches Fine detail, final adjustments, and a mini exhibition to celebrate what you've made.
